P2PU is a volunteer effort. It is friendly community of dedicated people from around the world who are contributing time, ideas and content. This page wants to grow!

 

  • Delia Browne (co-founder), National Copyright Director of the National Copyright Unit for Schools and Technical and Further Education colleges (TAFEs) in Australia. Previously Executive Director of the Arts Law Centre of Australia. Advocate, policy-maker, activist. Based in Sydney.

     

  • Alison Cole, Project Designer for AlternativeGradSchool.org, lobbyist, marine & freshwater scientist. Based in Cape Cod, MA, USA. 

     

  • Stian HĂ„klev (co-founder), MA student in Higher Education at University of Toronto, background in development studies. Got hooked by David Wiley's Intro to Open Education course. Activist for open access to research and open education. Based in Toronto.

     

  • Bekka Kahn, Writer and editor, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Previously on the staff at iCommons and The African Commons Project.

     

  • SongAnh Ann Nguyen, Project Designer for AlternativeGradSchool.org, currently traveling the Asian continent for ReachTheWorld.org. Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

     

  • Hauwa Otori, Law student at The American University Washington College of Law, previous background in Communication and Applied Economics & Management. Author of Children and the Media: Self-Other Perceptions of Occupational Portrayals in the Media. Based in Washington D.C.  

     

  • Neeru Paharia (co-founder), Previous Director of Creative Commons, and currently PhD student at Harvard Business School. Film-maker, illustrator, blues-guitar player. Based on the East and the West Coast.

     

  • Jane Park, ccLearn Communications Coordinator, Creative Commons. Based in New York. 

 

  • Andrew Rens, academic, A2K activist, attorney, previous legal lead Creative Commons South Africa, Board member of the African Commons Project, Director Freedom to Innovate, Shuttleworth Intellectual Property Fellow. Based in Cape Town.

     

  • Jan Philipp Schmidt (co-founder), Open Education implementer at University of Western Cape and United Nations University. Board member of the Open Courseware Consortium. Shuttleworth Foundation fellow. Based in Cape Town.

     

  • Niels Sprong, Holds an MA in European Studies on Society, Science and Technology. Is now working for the UNU-MERIT OCW initiative, doing an MSc in Energy Studies and a big fan of Berlin. Based in Amsterdam.
